A1. III. SCOPE OF WORK Task 1: Fuel Reduction is amended as follows:
The proposed activities for this project consist of reducing fuel loads on approximately 2,290 acres by thinning trees, pruning ladder fuels, reducing vegetation density, removing hazard trees (near trails, roads, & structures), and releasing young trees from competition. Vegetation communities are a mosaic of coastal scrub, chaparral, oak woodland, annual grasslands, mixed hardwood forest, and Montane Forest. Treatments will be based on a range of factors including topography, soil type, vegetation type, and stand condition.
