The San Gabriel & Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy is seeking a qualified Contractor(s) to provide a range of fuels treatment services including, but not limited to, tree removal, mechanical treatment, hand treatment, and slash treatment within the southern Angeles National Forest and surrounding non-Federal lands. The selected Contractor will have expertise in reducing fuel loads by thinning trees, pruning ladder fuels, reducing vegetation density, removing hazard trees near trails, roads, and structures, and land management practices on public (Federal and non-Federal) lands described in this RFP’s Scope of Work.

As stated in the RFP released on June 6, 2025, questions regarding this RFP must be received no later than seven (7) business days after its advertisement.

Similar questions have been compiled as one question, and questions may have been paraphrased by the RMC for clarity. It is the responsibility of the Proposer to access the RMC website or the CaleProcure website for any changes or Addenda that may be posted.

Q1. May you please clarify the acreage?
A1. III. SCOPE OF WORK Task 1: Fuel Reduction is amended as follows:
The proposed activities for this project consist of reducing fuel loads on approximately 2,290 acres by thinning trees, pruning ladder fuels, reducing vegetation density, removing hazard trees (near trails, roads, & structures), and releasing young trees from competition. Vegetation communities are a mosaic of coastal scrub, chaparral, oak woodland, annual grasslands, mixed hardwood forest, and Montane Forest. Treatments will be based on a range of factors including topography, soil type, vegetation type, and stand condition. Treatments will be accomplished by hand and mechanical methods (mastication) depending on the slope, terrain, and vegetation conditions. Cut limbs and vegetation will be scattered, chipped, and/or stacked in piles (see Appendix B: Design Principles and Treatment Details by Vegetation Type).

A2. A pre-bid site visit or conference is not required for this bidding opportunity.
